Born to a middle class family in the land of Lord Jagannath, Puri, Orissa, I spent my childhood in the lap of mother earth, playing in the sands of the Golden beach of Puri, making sculptures of Gods and Goddesses. With Sand art not being considered as a professional form of art in India and the limitation of not having a GURU, I pursued the creativity in me with the gifted ability from God. Initially the forms of the sculpture were not matured, as I did not get any professional assistance. Despite these limitations I pursued in my endeavor with an unseen vigor and an indomitable will to master the art. With the blessings of the Almighty, I slowly but steadily raised sand art to its current elevated status without compromising on the purity, earning accolades at home and abroad with my imagination and creativity. I took up the challenge to popularize sand art as a professional art form and started exhibiting sand art at various places in India by giving a new content and meaning to its form.
